The TAMIYA Nissan R91CP is back! This hugely popular TAMIYA model is now available once again as a limited reissue.

The original version was released in 1992 under the reference number 58109 and in 2012 under 84264.

The Nissan R91CP thus fits perfectly into Tamiya’s line-up of Group C chassis: Following the Mercedes C11 and the Porsche 956, it is now the third model in the series!

The Nissan R91CP is an icon of Japanese motorsport: it was the first Japanese car to win the 24 Hours of Daytona. The drivers at the time were Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Toshio Suzuki and Masahiro Hasemi.

The original was powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine with a displacement of 3,500 cm³.

About the TAMIYA Group C chassis:

2WD chassis with direct drive

The chassis features a 2WD drive on the rear axle – similar to TAMIYA’s former Formula chassis. Built on a tub structure made of ABS plastic – supplemented by space frames at the front and rear as well as FRP panels – the chassis is a composite construction. This provides a highly rigid base that optimally supports the sensitive suspension; the result is precise and direct handling.

The front axle features independent suspension with coil springs and kingpins, whilst the rigid rear axle is designed as a 3-point suspension – fitted with a 1.5 mm thick FRP T-bar and a CVA oil damper. Ground clearance can be adjusted depending on the surface conditions (front: 2 adjustment levels, rear: 3 adjustment levels).

The body is unpainted and features black plastic fittings: wing mirrors, spoiler mount, air intake, windscreen wipers.

The kit is supplied with an RS-540 Sport Tuned motor.

Required accessories: 2-channel radio control with steering servo, electronic speed controller, battery pack, battery charger, transmitter batteries, TAMIYA PS paint for polycarbonate bodies

WARNINGS:

Before you begin assembly, you should have read and understood all the instructions. If a child is assembling the model, a supervising adult should also have read the assembly instructions.

Tools, including knives, are used when assembling the kit. Take particular care to avoid injury.

If you encounter difficulties during assembly, ask an adult supervising the work, an experienced RC model builder or a specialist retailer.

Only use tools for their intended purpose. Incorrect use may result in injury.

If you use paints and/or adhesives (not included in the kit), please read and follow the instructions provided with them.

Keep the kit out of the reach of young children. Ensure that children do not put any parts in their mouths or pull plastic bags over their heads.
